POINTILLISM

This is perhaps my last art work. Time doesn't go by without reminding me how Art has become my frustration since I became a teacher. After college this is my sanest masterpiece. Well, I made this as if a gun was pointed at me. I had to work on it because I had to teach Art for Grade 7. Then, I found pointillism ... by this time those students I was teaching  are already preparing for Grade 12 and I bet they would never forget me because of my pointillism version of this toucan below. They would never forget the sound of this activity. Imagine putting dots together to form a figure. Those who passed by might think were doing a little carpentry or so.

I had to do it in order to convince my students that the activity is possible.

I pray that I'll never have to teach Art ever again.

Pointillism /ˈpɔɪntᵻlɪzəm/ is a technique of painting in which small, distinct dots of color are applied in patterns to form an image. Georges Seurat and Paul Signac developed the technique in 1886, branching from Impressionism.
